It`s important to note that while drivers may be on duty for 60 or 70 hours over seven or eight days, they still have to follow the daily 14-hour rule: as with most things, there are exceptions to the ground rules. If a driver starts and ends at the same location for a one-day assignment, they can work 16 hours. However, the actual driving time is still limited to 11 hours.
